Pearl strand restringing
Restringing your pearl necklaces and bracelets every few years or so is recommended. We put knots between each pearl to prevent pearls rubbing against each other and reducing their surface nacre. This also prevents pearl loss in the event the strand breaks. When restringing your pearls, it is also a great time to upgrade to a new clasp. Ring resizing
We can resize your ring up or down, and we have the tools in our store to measure your finger for an exact fit.

We have serviced many requests to take an existing pearl jewelry item such as a long necklace and rework it into multiple items, such as a bracelet, earrings, a ring or some combination of those. We can also change or add to the existing clasp while restringing to help enhance the beauty and utility of your precious pearl jewelry.

Appraisal Services
Simple Authenticity Estimate
It is fairly common for people to wonder if their newly inherited pearls are real. Having seen many pearls over the years, we can generally tell just by a simple inspection whether the pearls you have are fake or if they are real, and sometimes we can even tell you what species of pearl it is. There is no fee for inspecting a few items (see Appraisal Certificates below if you require an insurance certificate). The end result of such inspections is often, “Ok, they are real, but I don’t like the style. What can we do with them?” We have been through this over the years with many customers, and we can help you change the configuration of jewelry into something more updated and matching your particular style. Appraisal Certificates
We offer optional pearl jewelry appraisal certificates through an objective third-party on all our jewelry for a nominal fee. This certificate is valid for determining the insurance value of your jewelry in the event of loss or damage.
